R is for rejoice with gladness & joy. (Luke 1:14)
I is for Immanuel, God with us. (Is.7:14,) John 1:14)
S is for the star that led the Wise men to Him. (Matt.2:2)
T is for the truth & grace that was sent our way. (John 1:14)

S is for salvation.

It's Christmas time!

Put your problems on probation
Run your troubles off the track,
Throw your worries out the window
Get the monkeys off your back.
Silence all your inner critics
With your conscience make amends,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!
Call a truce with those who bother you
Let all the fighting cease,
Give your differences a breather
And declare a time of peace,
Don't let angry feelings taint
The precious time you have to spend,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time !
Like some cool refreshing water
Or a gentle summer breeze,
Like a fresh bouquet of flowers
Or the smell of autumn leaves,
It's a banquet for the spirit
Filled with family, food and friends,
So allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time !

The 'Ouch' Prayer

I found this prayer written by some guy centuries ago. I'm calling this the 'ouch' prayer because it was really painful to read personally, especially when I think about my past year or so. Idon't even know if I'm willing to pray this prayer, but anywayI'm sharing it with you guys. =) -YP

'O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, hear me. Deliver me, Jesus,
from the desire of being loved,
from the desire of being extolled,
from the desire of being honoured,
from the desire of being praised,
from the desire of being preferred to others,
from the desire of being consulted,
from the desire of being approved,
from the fear of being humiliated,
from the fear of being despised,
from the fear of suffering rebuke,
from the fear of being forgotten,
from the fear of being wronged,
from the fear of being suspected.

And, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire that others might be loved more than I,
that others may be esteemed more than I,
that in the opinion of the world others may increase and I may decrease,
that others may be chosen, and I set aside,
that others may be praised and I unnoticed,
that others may be preferred to me in everything,
that others may become holier than I, provided that I become as holy as I should."

Don't Quit..

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high;
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit -
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are;
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.

COMPARE......

>> A ROSE

A rose is beautiful
Roses smell particularly good…
but you can injure yourself on a rose if you do not watch out.
Roses need special care and must be professionally cut and cared for. The wrong care will kill the roses. That can happen very quickly if the roses are kept in the wrong place.
Roses, especially red roses, are a sign of love and affection.
A nicely presented bunch of roses in a visible place, give the surroundings much more warmth.
If roses do not have any water they wilt (just like all plants)!

>> JESUS

Jesus loves us and presented himself for you!
Jesus spilt his blood!
Jesus makes us an offer to accept his love (accept the rose as a symbol of love)!
Belief in Jesus makes us happy! We feel comfortable in his presence. (Scent of a rose)
If you do not watch out in your faith, it can sometimes go wrong (watch out for thorns)!
God, our Father, the rose gardener, cares for us and cuts of the things we do not need so that the rose is presented in all its glory (be a testimony, passing on the roses, letting others take part, …). He also makes sure that we are in the right environment and not “influenced” by negative factors.
There is of course, the possibility to accept the rose and take it with you or you might smell the rose and then walk away. The scent only has an effect on us for a short time.

The Tale Of A Loving King

He was hopelessly in love! He, a rich member of royalty, had fallen in love with a poor woman. She was poor, uneducated and without any noble background! Why he loved her could not be understood or explained, but he loved her.

The king was unhappy because he did not know how to show this woman how much he loved her!? How could he bridge the gap between the two of them? His advisors recommended that he should simply propose marriage to her – he was a powerful man after all!

However power, even unlimited power, cannot enforce love. He could force her to come to the palace; but he could not force her to grow love in her heart for him. He could perhaps secure her obedience with power, but the king did not want to subject any force upon her.

He longed for the desire that she would freely love him with all of her heart! In view of the facts the advisors suggest to him that he should bestow his love and his heart on a woman of his standard and on a woman who is worthy. But the king cannot and does not want to!

The king’s advisors only see one option, to try and bridge the divide between the king and the poor woman. The king should shower her with valuable gifts and make her nobler.
The king considers this and says: “How will I ever know that she loves me and not the things that I have and give her? Would she be in a position to trust and to forget that I am king and she is a poor woman?“

The king only sees one possibility left to achieve his goal – namely the love of this woman. He leaves his throne, takes off his crown and removes his royal clothing. He pulls on some rags and moves into a squalid hut. The king doesn’t only take on the external guise of a farmer, but also the life and rigours of a farmer.

He becomes as poor as the woman he loves so that she can be with him forever and love him of her own free will. That is the only possibility. I really do find this story impressive! I admit that it sounds like a fairytale but there is a love just like this!

No fairytale: Jesus loves you!

Jesus had left his throne, he give up his life at his father’s side to live here on earth as a mortal human! HE went through highs and lows just like us! He even died for us! Why Jesus!? So that we understand just how much he loves me and you!
